After his much talked about Crystals and Lasers show in Paris Rayban taps artist Matt W. Moore to create a capsule collection of Wayfarers just in time for summer. We are completed captivated by his geometric prisms of color and while we would love to have him tag a wall in the neighborhood a pair of sunnies will suffice.

Viktor and Rolf teamed up with design duo Studio Job to create the the staging for their Fall show. The design, originally imagined for a marquetry pattern for a series of furniture pieces, was generously applied to the walls  and runway which was then playfully dubbed the Glamour Factory. As usual the collection didn’t disappoint delivering all the pomp and circumstance attendees have come to expect.

Brooklyn based Mast Brothers chocolate offers gourmet treats like Dark Chocolate with Almonds and Sea Salt or Dark Chocolate with Cocoa Nibs, as one of the only bean to bar chocolatiers they take their candy very seriously. Michael and Rick Mast started the company to be able to work with family and friends and to make things from scratch that would create happiness. Their chocolate is handmade in small batches and culled from the highest quality cacao from Madagascar, Venezuela and Ecuador. We’ll be honest it was the packaging that caught our eye but now we are intrigued.

We’re still hung up on the white leather Leica but the newest model, created in collaboration with Hermes, has definitely caught our eye. Calfskin leather in orange or tan, both Hermes signature colors, covers the chrome body. Packaged with a wide angle lens, classic round hood and rapid winder this camera has all the extras. The production was limited to 100 of each color and with a price tag of  $14,250 perhaps that was wise.

Visionaire is one part bookzine, one part installation. Printed in limited editions, each issue’s unique format is determined by its theme and the work created for it. This approach has brought them on an incredible journey through intricately cut pop-ups, artist rendered puzzles, photosensitive printing and vinyl picture discs. As their 57th issue hits they continue to inspire us. In a comment on the ever-changing landscape of the art market they loaded a digital calendar with the work of 365 artists chosen by 52 curators. Kate Moss nominated fashion darling Ryan McGinley, Mary-Kate offered California painter Squeak Carnwath and Maurizio Cattelan selected Jenny Saville’s tactile images of women. The result is impressive review of today’s contemporary art scene and a daily reminder to think outside the box.

In the eighties Ron Arad was both the design world’s bad boy and star pupil pioneering the blur between disciplines before it hit today’s epic status in fashion circles. The Museum of Modern Art presents his first US retrospective appropriately titled “Ron Arad: No Discipline” exploring his curiosity about form, structure, technology, and materials. The show winds its way through a prolific and versatile body of work spanning industrial design, hand-crafted studio pieces, sculpture, architecture, and mixed media installations. Arad greeted guests during fashion week as the Moma celebrated the show with guests including Linda Evangelista, Josh Hartnett, Bar Refaeli and Mary J Blidge. See more from the show here.

Swedish designer Fredrik Farg ruffles our feathers with his one of a kind chairs. Starting with found objects Farg redresses them in bespoke coverings drawing inspiration from classic tailoring. First exhibited at the Salone del Mobile, he wins for best dressed. More here.
